I just received word that there was a “scheduling glitch” at Hambidge: the north Georgia facility where I was supposed to do my upcoming two week residency.  While it is certainly a disappointment, I remain grateful for the opportunity to visit family and friends instead.

in the studio today

I spent a couple of hours in the studio today messing around and having good conversations with my materials.  A large part of art-making, I’ve come to conclude, is dialoguing with the “stuff” to see what works and what doesn’t.  Sometimes the materials push back, and sometimes they do exactly as they’re told.  :)
