I’ve decided to make this my official art blog, so I will be posting as frequently as possible about new work, upcoming art shows, classes, etc in relation to my encaustic work. I thought I’d start up again by posting a new piece I just finished. This is using a technique I’m playing around with:
encaustic/ collage on rice paper on plexiglass. For this piece, I used 3 layers of plexiglass and incorporated transparency overlays, and attached it all together with nuts ands screws to give it a more industrial look.
The piece is 10 x 8 x 2.5″ and is called “Sweet (pea) heart”
