This week I can't take my eyes off the work of ceramic artist Nuala O'Donovan. She works in porcelain: a material that is both fragile and tough, and happens to be a gorgeous shade of off-white. I can only imagine how many pieces have come out of the kiln broken over the years she's been working....
I love this series she created called "Teasel" and her commitment to natural forms: "These pieces uses a regular pattern based on the teasel flower. The form is a result of allowing the irregularities in the handmade work to influence the direction that the pattern and shape followed."
