I am getting excited about where my newest pieces are headed... thanks to some good critique, a makeover of some of my materials, new set of limitations to stick to, and a couple solid studio work days this week, I think I'm finally headed in the right direction. It's too soon to tell, but I'm hoping a cohesive body of work (made up of small sculptures, wall hangings and installations) will soon emerge. There's still lots of work ahead, but it feels good to finally have some traction.
With the help of my dad (science geek), I'm hoping to properly name the new pieces soon. But for now, here's a glimpse into my studio this week:
