I just received word that there was a “scheduling glitch” at Hambidge: the north Georgia facility where I was supposed to do my upcoming two week residency. While it is certainly a disappointment, I remain grateful for the opportunity to visit family and friends instead.
Perhaps another time and another place for dreaming up and creating giant installations of wax dipped book pages, steel chicken wire and organza fabric?
In the meantime, I’ll look at the work of a new favorite artist of mine: Su Blackwell to get inspired:
